British Tennis Membership
There is a new membership scheme run by the L.T.A. which is known as British Tennis Membership. This will be free to all members of LTA affiliated British Tennis Clubs until 2012 , so this means all Club members at The Barnet L.T.C. This is particularly relevant because of the position the LTA are taking on Wimbledon tickets, as follows:
'Wimbledon tickets, from 2009, will only be available to British Tennis Members'
For further details can be found at http://www.lta.org.uk/British-Tennis-Membership/
You can join the British Tennis Membership for FREE at http://www.lta.org.uk/British-Tennis-Membership/
It only takes a couple of minutes. It’s FREE until 2012 , even if you are already a member. You will safeguard your place on any future club Wimbledon ballot. It will reflect well on the Club (the LTA keep records of which clubs have most LTA members). You can apply for a rating at the same time (should you want one). Please select ‘Middlesex’ rather than ‘Herts’ in the drop down box when prompted to as the club is affiliated to Middlesex. You can tick the boxes at the bottom of the form to avoid your details being passed to third parties.
Joining will ensure your eligibility in next year’s Wimbledon Club ballot as well as offering other benefits as part of the membership package. Benefits include – a rating in order to be able to enter tournaments; on-line tournament entry; an e-mail newsletter once a month with the latest news; discount on tennis kit, dvd’s, posters and competitions.
The LTA is currently bombarding us with details about all of this – further information will be distributed to members in the future. It won’t always be possible to mail-shot everyone so please check e-mail and website announcements and the notice-boards
